Friday, October 6th was a perfect day for our annual Jog-a-Thon! The all-school event was held on the black-top area and each class had a 20-minute session to complete their laps. Participants enjoyed running to upbeat music from the DJ, cheers from family and staff and completed their run with complimentary water and fans and frozen treats.
Students have done an incredible job collecting pledges to meet the HUGE $10,000 goal that the PTA set, and we’re so excited to say that the final amount raised is…………… $ 9,203.78!!
That’s more than double last year, and the best Jog-a-Thon fundraiser to date for Regency Park. All of the students that collected pledges received fun prize packs and each student that raised over $200 were entered into a prize raffle from our great community partners. This year, seven hard working students raised over $200, and a huge shout-out goes to our top two fundraisers: Christopher F. ($345) and Zoey S. ($740)! Mrs. Gatewood’s Kindergarten class was the top fundraising class with a grand total of $870- the PTA will be treating them to a classroom Pizza Party! Mrs. Godwin’s class won the best poster.
The Regency Park PTA would like to thank our Platinum Sponsors El Burrito Taqueria and Kids Park for their generous donations to the Jog-a-Thon. Additionally, Excel Photography and Kovar’s Satori Academy of Martial Arts also made substantial donations for the Jog-a-Thon, and in-kind donations were provided by My Kid’s Dentist & Orthodontics, Big Spoon Yogurt, Dream Enrichment Classes and Let’s Get Moovin’.
